The New Year is ripe with endeavors, ideas, and fresh starts. 2023 has me leaning into the new and realizing years of work and daydreaming finally going live into the world- my new website! Here is a space to share and explore my ideas and practices in mindfulness, writing, teaching, and coming soon, yoga. Hello! I’m Jennifer and I’m The Mindful Writing Teacher.
Mindfulness
As a Mindful Practitioner and Certified (Antioch U.) Mindfulness Educator, mindfulness is a huge part of my day-to-day living. My goal is to show others simple ways in (I’m looking at you, teachers!). A mindful practice or approach doesn’t have to be all “woo-woo” or even obvious. It isn’t a cure-all for what ails us, but rather a subtle, gentle way to teach or move through the day.
Writing
I have been a writing teacher for the majority of my 26+ year career and I know intimately well where both students AND teachers struggle. If you’re a teacher who assigns writing, stay tuned to this space because offerings and shares are coming.
Yoga
In addition to the English / Writing classroom, I’m also a Yoga teacher (Breathe for Change). My goal is to bring the practice to more teachers so that someday in the near future, a community can be built around a shared yoga practice.
